What are the advantages of buying in bulk?

  • Less Expensive: Buying in bulk can save you money over regular grocery store prices. If you don’t have that many mouths to feed, consider going halves with another couple or family.
  • Fewer Trips to the Grocery Store: Why plan your mail around what’s on sale?
  • Meat is Packed for Freezing: If you buy large quantities at the grocery store, you need to repack the meat to freeze it. When you purchase a side of beef, we do it for you.
  • Cut it to Your Specification: We’ll cut meat according to your specification and pack it the way you want it.

How long can meat be frozen and still maintain its quality and freshness?

Beef can be stored form 9-12 months. Ground beef can be stored from 3-4 months. Most meat items can safely be stored for longer periods, but may lose quality in taste.

How many pounds of meat will a freezer hold?

A rule of thumb is one cubic foot of freezer space for each 35-40 pounds of cut and wrapped meat. Allow slightly more space when meat is packaged in odd shapes

How much meat will I get from a Side of Beef?

If you were to purchase 325-350 lb. Side of Beef you would receive

How do I reserve my catered event?

Give us a call to discuss details. At that time, we will collect a non-refundable deposit that will reserve your date.

How long do I have to select a menu?

Menu selections should be made 2 weeks in advance

When do I need to provide my final guest count?

In order to serve you better, a final count of guests and a firm serving time must be established seven days before the event. There will be an additional charge for any changes made between the 7th and 4th day before the event. We regret that changes cannot be made 3 days prior to the event.

When is my final payment due?

Your event must be paid in full 3 days prior to event date.

Does Kenrick's cover any event location fees?

If applicable, permit costs or any fees for picnic site must be paid by client.

Is gratuity included in my catering cost?

At Kenrick’s we do not charge you gratuity on your invoice; we leave gratuity up to your discretion based on your satisfaction with the quality of the food and the services provided.

How far in advance should I place my party trays order?

We request that we know as soon as possible so we can plan and prepare your meal appropriately. We require at least 3 days notice for all orders unless otherwise stated. Funeral orders are the exceptions to the rule and will be taken upon availability with shorter notice.

How should I keep my food warm and what about serving utensils?

At Kenrick’s we offer catering for any number of people and for any occasion. We have rental BBQ Pits, Refrigerated Units, Rental Chairs and Tables, Linen Rentals, Party Accessories, etc. We specialize in BBQ’s, Corporate Event Planning, Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthday Parties and Graduations. We can plan your entire event for you or we can just provide the delicious food for your party.

What can I expect with Buffet Catering from Kenrick's?

  • We will help you plan and coordinate your event.

  • We will cut and napkin-wrap your cake for an additional charge depending on the number of guests. Additional charge for dessert plates, forks and napkins.
  • Bussing of guest tables for an additional charge. (Excluded on China Service)
  • China, silverware, and linen napkins can be provided for an additional charge.
  • Theme parties, table decorations and rental items are also available.
  • Leftover food, if any, will be provided to you with prior arrangement.
  • Banquet Halls available. We also have a hall list available which may help you start your search for a catering location. Please inquire about pricing.

What can I expect from self-service catering from the Supreme Buffet or St. Louis Style Buffet menus?

  • This is a do-it-yourself buffet. The food is the only thing supplied. Additional services can be purchased.
  • Includes all menu choices which are fully cooked.
  • Items to be heated are packaged in aluminum pans (warming directions for your oven are included, and approximately 1-1 1/2 hours is needed for heating).
  • Items to be served cold are packaged in disposable plastic serving bowls and trays.
  • No beverages, condiments, dinnerware or serving utensils are included with self-service catering but are available for an additional cost.
  • You may pick up your meal during our regular business hours. (Delivery also available, see below).

What additional services and rental items are available for self-service catering?

  • Delivery in the Metro area (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) at an additional charge. Before 8:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. is an additional charge per hour.
  • Disposable China Alternative (Dinner Plate, Salad Plate, Dessert Plate, Coffee Mug, Silver Fork, Knife & Napkin).
  • Deluxe Plastic Dinnerware Set (Plates, Forks, Knives and Napkins).
  • Set up of the meal on your banquet table (Self-Catered Events). White and Colored Plastic Skirting & Table Cover also available at an additional cost.
  • Chafing Dish Rental (One chafing dish needed per hot item – two sterno burners are included). Chafing dishes must be returned to our location within 2 days following event. Disposable chafing dishes available.
  • Coffee and Condiments (The air void must be returned to our location within 2 days following event) Deposit required for this item. (Tea, Punch and Lemonade also available).
  • Serving Spoons and Tongs (Must be returned to our location within 2 days following event).

Do I need to be home for my shipment?

Recipient of the shipment must be present to sign for the shipment at the scheduled time of delivery. Product will not be left unattended. If client is not present for the delivery, client can pick the product up in store at Kenrick’s Meats & Catering or incur an additional shipping charge.

How will my meat stay fresh during shipping?

All fresh meat shipments are sent overnight to ensure freshness upon delivery. Kenrick’s Meats & Catering must be notified within 72 hours of delivery date for there to be a refund on the shipment.

What payment options are accepted?

We accept payment through PayPal.

Kenrick’s Meats & Catering will personally deliver your Gift Basket or Steak Package to select areas in Missouri and Illinois. Delivery charges will vary by location and the charge will appear in your shopping cart after you select your city and zip code before you check out.

How far ahead should I order for in-store pickup?

Please allow 24 to 48 hours for preparation and call to verify your order is ready for pick up.

I'm getting an error when I'm trying to finalize my order. What do I do?

When creating an account in our online store it is important that the “city name” matches the city name used in your PayPal account, or you will get an error. For example, do not use Affton on one selection and St. Louis on the other.
